Maruti Suzuki eVitara: The Game-Changing Electric SUV Arriving Next Month
India's leading car manufacturer is stepping into the electric vehicle market! Here’s everything you need to know about the Maruti Suzuki eVitara, its battery options, range, and anticipated pricing.

Overview
The anticipation is nearly over for Maruti Suzuki's inaugural all-electric offering. The production version of the eVX concept, now called the eVitara, is slated to arrive in Indian dealerships come May 2026.
Developed on a specialized EV skateboard platform in partnership with Toyota, the eVitara features an extended wheelbase that positions the wheels at the extremities, optimizing cabin space.
Buyers can choose between two battery packs—a 48 kWh and a more substantial 60 kWh version—promising a real-world range of up to 500 km on a single charge.
Inside, the eVitara is set to bring a significant technological upgrade for Maruti, showcasing a dual-screen floating display, a rotary drive selector, and a sleek, organized dashboard layout.
With a projected starting price of ₹15 Lakh, it aims to pose a strong challenge to rivals such as the Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and the forthcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
