Maruti Suzuki India Limited is making headlines by announcing a historic showcase on June 4 for the nation's first genuine E100 flex-fuel passenger vehicle.
Scheduled just ahead of World Environment Day on June 5, the leading mass-market brand will unveil advanced, production-ready flex-fuel engine options.
Although specific model names are yet to be disclosed, industry insiders suggest the debut may feature either the Wagon R Flex-Fuel or the sporty Fronx Flex-Fuel crossover.
The engine system incorporates specialized heated fuel injectors, corrosion-resistant rubber gaskets, and an intelligent ECU that can seamlessly adjust fuel-air ratios from E20 up to 100% pure ethanol.
Company representatives have confirmed the brand possesses full technical capacity for scaling up production, although initial rollout will be calibrated to align with the national fueling infrastructure.
