Nürburgring Champion: The 990 HP Xiaomi YU7 GT Sets a New Standard for SUVs
Xiaomi makes history at the Nordschleife with its upcoming YU7 GT dual-motor electric SUV achieving an official lap time of 7:34.93, breaking the record for production SUVs.

Overtaking the Audi RS Q8
In a thrilling lead-up to its official launch in China, Xiaomi's chief test driver Ren Zhoucan propelled the performance-focused YU7 GT to the top spot on the Nürburgring production SUV leaderboard. With an official lap time of 7 minutes and 34.931 seconds, it surpassed the previous record set by the Audi RS Q8 Performance by almost two seconds.
Despite its hefty weight of 2,460 kg and a length exceeding 5 meters, the YU7 GT impressively navigates the track, aided by a specialized Track Package option alongside the state-of-the-art Jialong Chassis Master Edition hardware.
Unleashing the HyperEngine Powertrain Technology
The remarkable acceleration that led to this historic achievement is powered by Xiaomi's dual-motor all-wheel-drive system known as the HyperEngine V8S EVO. With an astounding combined output of 990 hp, its high-efficiency silicon carbide power modules enable the electric motors to reach up to 28,000 rpm.
The vehicle features a high-voltage 800V architecture and a 101.7 kWh battery pack, allowing for a rapid top-up time from 10 to 80% in just 12 minutes, and an electronically limited top speed of 300 km/h.
